Ashlie R. Mitchell, 24, of House Springs was hurt this morning (Dec. 16) in a two-vehicle accident on Hwy. M at Catlin Drive in Barnhart, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.
At 8:27 a.m., Mitchell was driving a 2014 Ford Fusion east on Hwy. M, and while the light at the intersection with Catlin Drive was red, she traveled through the intersection, and the front of the car struck the front left side of a northbound 2013 Cadillac SRX that was making a left turn at a green light from Catlin onto westbound Hwy. M, the report said.
Jennifer I. Eichhorn, 33, of Barnhart was driving the Cadillac. No injuries were reported for her.
Mitchell, however, was moderately injured and taken by Rock Township Ambulance to St. Anthony’s Medical Center in south St. Louis County.
Both women were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.
The two vehicles were extensively damaged, the report said.
