Betty J. Boyd, 68, of House Springs was hurt Friday afternoon (Jan. 11) in a one-car accident on the ramp at Hwy. 21 and Old Hwy. 21, or the Schenk Road interchange, in Barnhart, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 2 p.m., Boyd was driving a northbound 2004 Chevrolet Malibu, and the car began sliding on the snow-covered road before running off the right edge of the ramp and overturning, coming to rest in a rock-lined ditch, the report said.
She was moderately injured and taken by Big River Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County.
Boyd was wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.
The car was extensively damaged, the report said.
