Timothy R. Winheim, 35, of House Springs was killed Thursday night (Aug. 29) when he was walking on a highway in Lincoln County and was struck by a big rig, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 10:40 p.m., Winheim was walking in Lane 1 on southbound Hwy. 61 north of Anderson Road and a southbound 2013 Kenworth T700 struck him, the report said.
Richard D. Green, 37, of Truman, Ark., was driving the big rig. No injuries were reported for him.
Winheim was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:51 p.m. by Lincoln County Coroner Kelly Walters, the report said.
Green was wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.
The big rig had minor damage, the report said.
