Stephen W. Marquard, 69, of House Springs was seriously injured Wednesday afternoon (Sept. 1) in a two-vehicle accident on Hwy. 30 east of Hwy. PP in High Ridge, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 3:08 p.m., Marquard was driving a 1999 Jeep Cherokee west on the highway and failed to stop for traffic ahead, and the front of it struck the rear of a westbound 2016 Chevrolet 1500 pickup, the report said.
Patrick S. Kellenberger, 47, of Cedar Hill was driving the pickup. No injuries were reported for him.
Marquard was taken by North Jefferson County Ambulance to SSM Health St. Clare Hospital in Fenton.
No information about his condition was available today (Sept. 2).
Marquard was wearing a seat belt, and Kellenberger was not wearing one, the patrol reported.
Both vehicles were totaled, the report said.
