A 24-year-old House Springs man was arrested Sunday evening (Sept. 26) for suspicion of driving while intoxicated and possession of fentanyl following a one-car accident on Hwy. 30 west of Caroline Drive in High Ridge, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 5:40 p.m., the man was driving a 2016 Chevrolet Spark west on the highway and ran off the right side of the road, where the car struck multiple trees, the report said.
He was moderately injured and taken by North Jefferson County Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, according to the report.
However, the hospital had no information about him, a Mercy spokesman said.
The man was not wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.
The car was totaled, the report said.
The highway patrol arrested the man at 6:12 p.m. at the hospital for allegedly driving while intoxicated on drugs and possessing a controlled substance.
His name will not be published unless charges are filed against him, and as of this afternoon (Sept. 30), no charges had been filed.
