A Hillsboro woman and a Potosi woman and man were seriously injured late Friday afternoon (Dec. 18) in a two-vehicle accident at highways 21 and 110 north of De Soto, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

At 4:25 p.m., Jennifer C. Williams, 29, of Hillsboro was driving a 2015 Ford Escape north on Hwy. 21, and Kendra A. Gleeson, 20, of Potosi, driving a 2006 Acura TL west on Hwy. 110, did not see the Escape, and while attempting to turn left onto Hwy. 21, the front of the Acura struck the front of the Escape. Then, the Escape ran off the left side of Hwy. 21 and struck a guardrail, the report said.

Williams was taken by Valle Ambulance to Mercy Hospital St. Louis in Creve Coeur.

Gleeson and a passenger in the Acura – Christopher E. Roux, 33, of Potosi – were taken by Valle Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County.

Williams and Gleeson were wearing seat belts, and Roux was not wearing one, the patrol reported.

Both vehicles were totaled, the report said.
