A Hillsboro woman and man were hurt in a one-vehicle accident Friday afternoon (April 1) on Hwy. DD west of Hwy. EE in Jefferson County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.
At 12:45 p.m., Fonda C. Dalton, 38, of Hillsboro was headed east in a 2001 Mercury Mountaineer, and the SUV ran off the right side of the road before she overcorrected, causing the vehicle to run off the left side of the road, where it overturned, the report said.
Dalton and a passenger in the SUV – Robert J. Bruenger, 37, of Hillsboro – sustained moderate injuries and were taken by North Jefferson County Ambulance to St. Anthony’s Medical Center in south St. Louis County, according to the report.
Dalton was wearing a seat belt, but Bruenger was not wearing one, the patrol reported.
The SUV was totaled, the report said.
