A Hillsboro woman riding in a pickup sustained serious injuries in a one-vehicle accident Saturday morning (June 11) on Sandy Creek Road northeast of Hillsboro.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that Angela Walls, 43, of Hillsboro, was driving a 2003 Ford Explorer east on Sandy Church Road west of Sandy Valley Acres Road at 9:50 a.m. when she drove off the side of the road and struck a fence.

Walls was not injured in the crash, but a passenger in the pickup, Casey Holland, 30, also of Hillsboro, had serious injuries and was taken by Joachim-Plattin Ambulance to Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City, the report said.

An update on her condition was not available.

Walls was wearing a seat belt but Holland was not, according to the report. The pickup had extensive damage.
