A Hillsboro man was injured Wednesday morning (August 8) in a one-car crash on Hwy. 141 north of High View Drive in the Jefferson County portion of Fenton, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 7:25 a.m., Vernon R. Sells, 60, of Hillsboro was driving a 2013 Chevrolet Cruze north on Hwy. 141 and the car ran off the right side of the road into a wooded area and then down a steep embankment before striking a tree, the report said.
Sells was moderately hurt and transported by Rock Township Ambulance to St. Anthony’s Medical Center in south St. Louis County, where he was listed in fair condition, a hospital spokeswoman said today (Aug. 9).
He was not wearing his seat belt, the patrol reported.
The Cruze was totaled, the report said.
