A High Ridge woman was injured in a three-vehicle accident on Hwy. 30 at Valley Dell Drive in unincorporated Fenton, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 4:15 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31, Anthony M. Dixon, 46, of House Springs was driving east in a 2004 Chevrolet Venture when he allegedly dropped his phone, looked down to pick it up and failed to stop in time to prevent a collision. He struck the rear of an eastbound 2022 Jeep Compass, driven by Aaron D. Hofius, 46, of St. Louis, who was stopped at a red light. This pushed the Compass into a stopped 2019 Jeep Renegade driven east by Jolene M. Blackwood, 39, of High Ridge, the report said.
Blackwood was moderately injured and taken by North Jefferson County Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County where she was treated and released, a hospital spokesman said.
According to the report, all drivers were wearing seat belts. The Chevrolet was totaled, the Compass was extensively damaged and the Renegade was moderately damaged.
