Sarah L. Rabbitt, 30, of High Ridge was hurt in a one-car accident that happened late Sunday afternoon (June 19) on Gravois Road east of Hawkins Road in the Fenton area, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.
At 4:38 p.m., Rabbitt was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Venture van east on Gravois Road and while attempting to avoid an oncoming vehicle, overcorrected to the right, and the van ran off the right side of the road, where it struck a tree and overturned, the report said.
Rabbitt sustained moderate injuries and was taken by North Jefferson County Ambulance to St. Anthony’s Medical Center in south St. Louis County, where she was treated and released, a hospital spokesman said today (June 20).
Rabbitt was not wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.
The van was totaled, the report said.
The patrol did not report any information about the oncoming vehicle Rabbitt tried to avoid.
