A High Ridge man was seriously hurt Friday evening, April 21, after a pickup that was parked on the side of Hwy. 68 south of St. James in Phelps County was struck by an unknown vehicle and pushed into the man, who had been a passenger in the pickup, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

At 8:49 p.m., the 1996 Chevrolet Silverado was parked along the highway about 2 miles south of St. James, and an unknown westbound vehicle drove off the right side of the road and struck the pickup. The impact of the crash caused the pickup to hit the pedestrian, Mikell Bobbish, 44, of High Ridge, who was outside the pickup.

Bobbish was taken by Phelps Health Air Ambulance to Mercy Hospital St. Louis in Creve Coeur.

No injuries were reported for the driver of the Chevrolet, Keith Green, 49, of Cedar Hill.

An update on Bobbish’s condition was not available.
