Four area residents, including three teenagers, were hurt Wednesday night (March 27) in a two-car accident on the Hwy. M crossover to Moss Hollow Road in Barnhart, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At about 7:45 p.m., Alexander J. Killmade, 16, of Imperial, who was stopped in a southbound 2014 Honda Accord on Moss Hollow Road, pulled into the path of a 2008 Pontiac G6 headed east on Hwy. M, and the front of the G6 struck the passenger-side of the Accord, ejecting two passengers from the Accord, the report said.
James L. Norris, 20, of Cedar Hill was driving the G6, and he was seriously hurt, according to the report.
Killmade had minor injuries, but the two passengers in the Accord who were ejected – Phillip L. Horn, 16, of Fenton and Tori J. Piotrowski, 15, of St. Louis – also were seriously hurt, the report said.
Norris, Horn and Piotrowski were transported by Rock Township Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, and Killmade was treated at the scene by Rock Township personnel and refused to be transported for further treatment, according to the report.
Norris was listed in satisfactory condition, and Horn and Piotrowski had been treated and transferred to another area hospital, a Mercy Hospital spokesman said this afternoon (March 28).
Norris, Horn and Piotrowski were not wearing seat belts, and Killmade was wearing one, the patrol reported.
Both cars were totaled, the report said.
