Martha Boland, 44, of Florissant drowned in the pool at Sunnyhill Adventures Camp, 6555 Sunlit Way, in Dittmer. She was at the pool for a gathering of summer camp participants on July 7, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said.
During the gathering, someone saw Boland floating face down in the water with a flotation device around her waist and alerted a lifeguard, the report said.
The lifeguard got Boland out of the pool and attempted lifesaving measures. Boland was declared dead at 4:22 p.m. by Big River Ambulance District personnel, according to the report.
Sheriff’s Office spokesman Grant Bissell said there were no signs of foul play and investigators do not believe anything criminal took place.
A phone message left at Sunnyhill had not been returned as of Monday morning, July 8.
