traffic accident 2 patrol patch

Danielle Barnett, 32, of Festus was hurt Sunday (Aug. 6) in a one-vehicle accident on Hwy. P just north of Market Street in the Hematite area, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.

At 5:40 p.m., Barnett was driving a 2003 Ford Explorer south on Hwy. P, and the SUV slid on wet pavement, spun clockwise and then ran off the right side of the road and overturned, the report said.

Barnett was moderately injured and taken by Joachim-Plattin Ambulance to Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City, where she was treated and released, a hospital spokesman said today (Aug. 7).

She was wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.

The SUV was extensively damaged, the report said.
