traffic accident patrol patch

A Festus man and woman were injured Monday morning (March 14) in a two-vehicle accident on Hwy. TT north of Kessler Lane south of Festus, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

At 10:50 a.m., Richard D. Hart, 78, of Festus was driving an eastbound 2020 Ford Fusion, and while turning left from a private driveway onto northbound Hwy. TT, he reportedly pulled into the path of a southbound 2002 Ford Ranger driven by Stephanie R. Davis, 48, of Ironton, and the front of the Ranger struck the left side of the Fusion, the report said.

No injuries were reported for Davis.

However, Hart and a passenger in the Fusion – Patricia J. Hart, 83, of Festus – were moderately injured and taken by Joachim-Plattin Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County.

As of this morning (March 17), Richard Hart was listed in critical condition, and Patricia Hart had been treated and released, a hospital spokesman said.

The Harts and Davis were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.

Both vehicles were extensively damaged, the report said.
