A Festus man was hurt Saturday morning (Dec. 1) while he was riding a dirt bike on a trail at St. Joe State Park near Park Hills in St. Francois County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that Zachary Wilde, 25, was riding a 2014 Kawasaki KX 250S north on trail 100 of the state park at 10:55 a.m. when he struck a tree. Wilde then was thrown from the dirt bike.
He sustained moderate injuries and was taken by St. Francois County Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South (formerly St. Anthony’s Medical Center) in south St. Louis County, the report said.
An update on his condition was not available.
Wilde was wearing a safety helmet, the report said. The Kawasaki had minor damage.
