Two people from Festus were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Hwy. A at Frontier Road in Festus, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

At 9:15 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, Daniel T. Charleville, 81, was driving a 2017 GMC Canyon south and attempted to turn left into the path of a westbound 2014 Dodge Avenger driven by Noah T. Fallert, 19, of Festus, the report said.

A passenger in the Dodge, Sharon A. Sturdevant, 71, was moderately injured, and Charleville received minor injuries, the report said. Both were taken by Joachim-Plattin Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County.

As of this afternoon, Oct. 5, Sturdevant was in satisfactory condition, and Charleville in good condition, a hospital spokesman said.

According to the report, Sturdevant, Charleville and Fallert were wearing seat belts, the Dodge was totaled and the GMC was extensively damaged.
