Rebecca L. Kuelker, 56, of Fenton was seriously hurt Monday afternoon (April 1) in a one-car accident on Hwy. 67 at Parkwood Drive in St. Francois County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 1:30 p.m., Kuelker was driving a 2002 Toyota Corolla north on Hwy. 67, and she drove the car off the left edge of the road and struck a guardrail before overcorrecting to the right, which caused the car to cross both northbound lanes, run off the right edge of the road, become airborne and then strike a rock, the report said.
Kuelker was taken by helicopter to Mercy Hospital St. Louis in Creve Coeur, where she was listed in satisfactory condition this morning (April 4), a hospital spokeswoman said.
She was wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.
The car was totaled, the report said.
