A Fenton man was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated after he was involved in a motorcycle accident early Sunday morning (Aug. 30) on I-255 in the Mehlville area of St. Louis County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that the 25-year-old man was riding a 2019 Kawasaki ZX6R motorcycle on the ramp from westbound I-255 onto southbound I-55 at 2 p.m. when he rode off the right side of the road and the motorcycle overturned.
The man sustained moderate injuries and he was taken by Mehlville Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, the report said.
An update on his condition was not available.
He was arrested by a Highway Patrol officer on suspicion that he was driving while intoxicated, the report said. He will not be named unless he is charged with a crime by the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
The man was wearing a safety helmet, the report said. The motorcycle had minor damage.
