Rick Hirth, 58, of Dittmer was seriously injured at about noon Monday, March 21, in a motorcycle crash on Hwy. Y north of Harbison Road near Grubville in Jefferson County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
Hirth was riding a 2010 Harley-Davidson FLHTC north on the highway and struck a deer and then the motorcycle ran off the right side of the road and overturned, the report said.
He was taken by private conveyance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, where he was treated and released, a hospital spokesman said.
He was wearing a helmet, the patrol reported.
The bike had minor damage.
