Jacob D. Johnson, 36, of Dittmer was seriously injured Monday morning (Jan. 31) in a one-vehicle accident at highways 30 and BB in Cedar Hill, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 8:30 a.m., Johnson was driving an eastbound 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee and suffered a medical problem before he ran off the road, where the vehicle struck a light standard, the report said.
He was taken by Big River Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, where he was treated and released, a hospital spokesman said.
Johnson was not wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.
The Jeep was extensively damaged, the report said.
