traffic accident 3

Susan F. Pullen, 59, of De Soto was hurt Tuesday afternoon (May 5) in a three-vehicle accident on Hwy. 67 just south of Hwy. CC south of Festus, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

At 3:05 p.m., Pullen was driving a 2019 Chevrolet Trax north on Hwy. 67, and the front of the SUV struck the rear of a northbound 2018 Subaru Forester SUV that was stopped at the traffic signal for Hwy. CC. Then, the Chevy SUV ran across the left lane, and the front right side of it struck the rear of a towed unit being pulled by a 1997 Mazda B2300 pickup that was in the left turn lane of northbound Hwy. 67 at Hwy. CC, the report said.

Timothy J. Handrahan, 58, of Arnold was driving the Subaru SUV, and Christopher R. Shadowens, 34, of Pevely was driving the pickup. No injuries were reported for them.

However, Pullen was moderately hurt and taken by Joachim-Plattin Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, where she was treated and released, a hospital spokesman said today (May 6).

All three drivers were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.

The two SUVs were totaled, and the pickup had minor damage, the report said.
