Amanda R. Missey, 35, of De Soto was hurt Wednesday afternoon (July 26) in a two-vehicle accident at highways 110 and 67 in the De Soto area, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.

At 12:30 p.m., Missey was headed east in a 2007 Ford Edge and turned into the path of a westbound 1998 Jeep Cherokee, and the right front of the Cherokee struck the right front of the Edge, the report said.

Morgan K. Halbert, 25, of De Soto was driving the Cherokee. No injuries were reported for him.

Missey was moderately injured and taken by Joachim-Plattin Ambulance to Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City, where she was treated and released, a hospital spokesman said.

Both Missey and Halbert were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.
