A woman from De Soto was hurt in a three-vehicle accident Saturday afternoon (May 9) on Hwy. 110 near Olympian Village east of De Soto.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that a 1994 Chevrolet 1500 driven by Silverio Ramirez, 20, of French Village traveled onto westbound Hwy. 110 at Athena School Road at 3:30 p.m., striking a westbound 2005 Ford Ranger driven by Gregory Warner, 38, of Doe Run. The Ranger then struck an eastbound 2007 Jeep Compass driven by Lisa Chaplin, 31, of De Soto.
Chaplin sustained moderate injuries and was taken by Valle Ambulance to Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. The other two drivers were not injured according to the report.
An update on Chaplin’s condition was not available.
Ramirez’s pickup incurred minor damage while the other two vehicles were damaged moderately, the report said.
All three drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident, the report said.
