At 3:35 p.m., the teenager was driving a 2006 Pontiac G6 west on Flucom Road and failed to navigate a curve to the left, and the car ran off the left side of the road and struck a tree, the report said.
The teen was taken by Valle Ambulance to Mercy Hospital St. Louis in Creve Coeur.
He was wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.
The car was totaled, the report said.
