Zachary M. Sutton, 32, De Soto was killed in a two-vehicle accident Christmas Eve morning (Dec. 24) on Hwy. 28 about 1 mile west of Hwy. A in Osage County in central Missouri, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At about 10:35 a.m., Sutton was driving a 2021 Nissan Kicks SUV east on Hwy. 28, crossed the center line and struck a westbound 2005 Chevrolet Silverado pickup head-on, the report said.
Bryce N. Blankenship, 18, of Rosebud was driving the pickup. He was moderately injured and taken by ambulance to St. Mary’s Hospital, according to the report.
Osage County coroner A.J. Probst pronounced Sutton dead at the scene.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.
The two vehicles were totaled, the report said.
