Bobby L. Rowden, 36, of De Soto was hurt Friday morning (Sept. 18) when a pickup struck the car he was working on along Hwy. M in Barnhart, causing the car to run over him, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.
At 6:45 a.m., Joshua A. Kaiser, 29, of Dittmer was driving a 2010 Dodge Ram east on Hwy. M east of Moss Hollow Road and fell asleep before the pickup ran off the road and onto the right shoulder, where Rowden was working on his car, a 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix, the report said.
The pickup struck the Grand Prix, and the force of the collision caused the car to run over Rowden, according to the report.
Rowden sustained moderate injuries and was taken by Rock Township Ambulance to St. Anthony’s Medical Center in south St. Louis County.
No injuries were reported for Kaiser.
He was wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.
The car was extensively damaged in the wreck, and the pickup sustained moderate damage, the report said.
