A De Soto man was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident Sunday afternoon, May 14, on Old Hwy. 21 north of Hillsboro.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that Charles Clinton, 57, was riding a 1999 Suzuki VZ800 motorcycle north on Old Hwy. 21 south of Tower Road at 2:45 p.m. when he rode off the right side of the road. The motorcycle struck a culvert and Clinton was thrown off.
Clinton suffered serious injuries and he was taken by Big River Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, the report said.
An update on his condition was not available.
Clinton was not wearing a state-approved safety helmet, the report said. The motorcycle was totaled in the accident, according to the report.
