Logan R. Hughes, 24, of De Soto man was injured New Year’s Eve morning (Dec. 31) in a one-vehicle accident on Hwy. 67 at Sunnyside Road north of Olympian Village, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 11 a.m., Hughes was driving a southbound 2020 Chevrolet Equinox and suffered a medical emergency, causing the vehicle to run off the left side of the road and then return to the road and run off the right side, where it struck a tree, the report said.
He was moderately injured and taken by Joachim-Plattin Ambulance to Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City.
Hughes was not wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.
The vehicle was totaled, the report said.
