Christopher A. Thomas, 29, of De Soto was hurt Wednesday night (Nov. 13) in a one-car accident on Hwy. 21 north of mile marker 174 between Barnhart and Goldman, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 9:42 p.m., Thomas was driving a 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt south on Hwy. 21 and struck a deer, and then the car ran off the right side of the road, where it struck a rock bluff and overturned, the report said.
Thomas was moderately hurt and taken by Big River Ambulance to SSM Health St. Clare Hospital in Fenton, where he was treated and released, a hospital spokeswoman said.
He was wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.
The car was extensively damaged, the report said.
