A De Soto man was injured Saturday evening (Sept. 18) in an accident involving a vintage vehicle on Hwy. 67 south of Hwy. CC south of Festus.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that Clyde Womack, 62, was driving a 1929 Ford Roadster south on Hwy. 67 south of Hwy. CC at 7:35 p.m. when he drove off the right side of the road, overcorrected to the left and then the Ford went off the left side of the road, where it struck the concrete median wall. The vehicle returned to the road and came to rest in both lanes, facing southwest.
Womack sustained moderate injuries and was taken by Joachim-Plattin Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, the report said.
An update on his condition was not available.
Womack was wearing a seat belt, the report said. The Ford had extensive damage, according to the report.
