A De Soto man was injured in a one-car traffic accident late Saturday afternoon (Sept. 21) on Breckenridge Road near the Fletcher area west of De Soto.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that Charles Schulte, 35, was driving a 2009 Nissan Altima north on Breckenridge Road south of Russell Road at 5 p.m. when he failed to negotiate a curve to the right and the Nissan crossed the center line and went off the left side of the road, where it hit a fence and a tree.
Schulte suffered moderate injuries and was taken by Valle Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south t. Louis County, the report said.
An update on his condition was not available.
Schulte was not wearing a seat belt, the report said. The Nissan was totaled.
