A Cedar Hill man was killed and two other people were seriously hurt in a one-car accident that happened at 8:42 p.m. Tuesday (Sept. 20) on Hunning Road east of Cinphany Lane in High Ridge, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.
Chad D. Thomas, 35, of Cedar Hill, who died in the accident, was driving a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am east on Hunning Road, and the car crossed the center and then ran off the left side of the road, where it struck a tree, the report said.
Thomas was pronounced dead at the scene, at 8:57: p.m., by North Jefferson County Ambulance personnel, according to the report.
Two passengers in the car – Jaime M. Cook, 34, of House Springs and William J. Cook, 32, of Fenton – were seriously hurt.
Jaime Cook was taken by North Jefferson County Ambulance to St. Anthony’s Medical Center in south St. Louis County, where she was listed in satisfactory condition this afternoon (Sept. 21), a hospital spokesman said.
William was taken by helicopter to Mercy Hospital St. Louis in Creve Coeur, where he was listed in critical condition this afternoon, a hospital spokeswoman said.
None of those involved in the accident was wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.
The car was totaled, the report said.
A High Ridge woman died Aug. 2 after being involved in an accident in the same area.
