Jason L. Missey, 33, of Cadet was injured Tuesday afternoon (Aug. 31) in a three-vehicle accident at Hwy. 21 and Britton Road southwest of De Soto, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 3:14 p.m., Missey was driving a southbound 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt, and the front of the car struck the rear of a southbound 2012 Dodge Ram 1500. Then, the Cobalt spun clockwise, and the rear of it struck the left side of a northbound 2019 Chevrolet Impala, the report said.
Shane Q. Portell, 40, of Cadet was driving the Ram, and Stephen P. Luebbers, 70, of Potosi was driving the Impala. No injuries were reported for either of them.
Missey, however, was moderately injured and taken by Valle Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South, where he was treated and released, a hospital spokesman said.
All three drivers were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.
The Cobalt was totaled, the Ram was extensively damaged and the Impala had minor damage, the report said.
