Kenneth R. Downey, 61, of Byrnes Mill was killed Tuesday evening (Feb. 1) in a one-vehicle accident at Franks Road and Sandy Bluff Drive in Byrnes Mill, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 7:10 p.m., Downey was driving a westbound 1997 Chrysler Town and Country and ran off the left side of the road, where the minivan struck a tree, the report said.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by North Jefferson County Ambulance personnel, the report said.
Downey was not wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.
The minivan was totaled, the report said.
