A Bonne Terre woman was seriously hurt Nov. 3 when her pickup struck a big rig stopped on Hwy. 61 south of Johnson Road in the southern end of Jefferson County near Bloomsdale, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

At 9:20 a.m., Shelley A. Pribble, 35, was driving a 1998 Dodge Dakota north on Hwy. 61, and the front of the pickup struck the rear of a 2016 Kenworth T680 big rig that was stopped in the roadway. The big rig was unoccupied, the report said.

Pribble was taken by helicopter to Mercy Hospital St. Louis in Creve Coeur, according to the report.

No update on her condition was available Tuesday evening (Nov. 7).

Pribble was not wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.

The pickup was totaled, and the big rig had minor damage, the report said.
