A Bloomsdale man died and a woman was hurt in a traffic accident Friday evening (Aug. 9) in St. Francois County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that James Pashia, 50, was driving a 1977 Jeep CJ7 south on Bluebird Drive near Wren Drive in French Village at 10:49 p.m. when he failed to negotiate a curve and the Jeep ran off the road and struck two trees.
Pashia was taken by St. Francois County Ambulance to Parkland Health Center North in Bonne Terre, where he died at 1:06 a.m. on Aug. 10, the report said.
A passenger in the Jeep, Sherry Pashia, 52, sustained moderate injuries and was taken by St. Francois County Ambulance to Parkland Health Center North, the report said.
She was treated and released, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Neither was wearing a seat belt, the report said. The Jeep was totaled.
