A 29-year-old Bloomsdale man was arrested for suspicion of driving while intoxicated following a two-vehicle accident Monday morning (April 27) on Old Lemay Ferry Road at Black Oak Drive in Imperial, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 8:25 a.m., the man was driving a 2012 Honda Civic south on Old Lemay Ferry and crossed the center line, and the front of the car struck the left side of a northbound 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 driven by Terry L. Klamert, 67, of Imperial, the report said.
No injuries were reported for Klamert. However, the Bloomsdale man was moderately injured and taken by Rock Township Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, where he was treated and released, a hospital spokesman said this afternoon (April 28).
Both drivers were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.
The two vehicles were totaled, the report said.
The highway patrol arrested the Bloomsdale man around 10 a.m. the same day at the hospital. His name will not be published unless charges are filed, and as of today, none had been filed.
