Three women, including one from High Ridge, were injured Thursday afternoon, Aug. 22, in a two-car crash at highways 50 and 185 in Beaufort in Franklin County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 2:35 p.m., Cynthia A. McFarland, 72, of Labadie was driving a 2021 Kia Rio east on Hwy. 50 and while trying to turn left onto Hwy. 185, she failed to yield to a 2016 Ford Fusion driven by Renee M. Behrle, 51, of High Ridge, who was westbound on Hwy. 50. The front of the Fusion struck the rear passenger door of the Rio, the report said.
McFarland and Behrle were moderately injured, as was a passenger in the Rio – Martha L. Wilkins, 76, of Washington – and all three women were taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital Washington, according to the report.
The three women were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.
The two cars were totaled, the report said.
