Bridget M. Fusco, 39, of Arnold was seriously injured Monday morning (Oct. 1) in a two-car accident on I-55 south of Butler Hill Road in south St. Louis County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At about 7:35 a.m., Fusco was driving a 2012 Chevy Cruze north on I-55 and failed to slow for traffic, and the front of the car hit the rear of a northbound 2015 Toyota Scion driven by Elizabeth A. Hanson, 38, of Arnold, the report said.
No injuries were reported for Hanson.
Fusco was taken to Mercy Hospital South (formerly St. Anthony’s Medical Center) in south St. Louis County, where she was listed in satisfactory condition on Tuesday, a hospital spokesman said.
Both Fusco and Hanson were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.
The Cruze was extensively damaged, and the Scion was moderately damaged, the report said.
