An Arnold man was hurt May 7 while he was a passenger in a utility task vehicle in St. Joe State Park near Park Hills in St. Francois County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that Brandon Cleary, 21, of Trafalgar, Ind., was riding a 2018 Polaris 570 east on Trail No. 100 in the park at 6:52 p.m. when he made an abrupt left turn and the UTV flipped on its side.
The report made no mention of an injury to Cleary, but a passenger in the UTV, Michael Schallert, 21, of Arnold was moderately injured and he was taken by St. Francois County EMS to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, the report said.
An update on his condition was not available.
Both men were wearing safety helmets, the report said. The vehicle was not damaged, according to the report.
