5K run

A Color for Life 5K Walk/Run will be held Saturday, April, 25, at Arnold City Park on Bradley Beach Road off Jeffco Boulevard in Arnold.

During the walk, participants will be tie-died with colored powder that is thrown on them. The powder is edible, biodegradable and safe. Those who want to be tie-died are encouraged to wear white clothing for the best results. Also, organizers suggest that participants wear clothes they don’t mind having tie-died.

Registration is $25 a person. Children younger than 2 may participate for free.

The deadline to register is April 22.

Proceeds will benefit the Arnold Relay for Life, to be held Friday and Saturday, June 5-6, at Fox High School, 751 Jeffco Blvd.

Funds raised for the relay are donated to the American Cancer Society, which uses the money for cancer research and services for cancer patients.

On the day of the run, participants must arrive between 8 a.m. and 8:45 a.m., because parking closes after that. The run will start at 9 a.m.

Participants may pickup packets on the day of the run, but there will be no registration that day.

To register, send a check payable to Amy Littleton and mail to Kelly Kennedy, P.O. Box 515175, St. Louis, 63151.
