This is Presley, a Shih tzu-Chihuahua mix, in April 2014. He was born in June 2009, so he’s 6 now.
He’s named after Elvis Presley. He has a little brother named Elvis we gave to a friend.
Presley is very smart. He does tricks. I can say, “Bang!” and he’ll play dead. He’ll roll over three times. I’ll put five pieces of his food in a line and he’ll wait until I tell him to eat.
He loves to sing “Happy Birthday,” “The Star-Spangled Banner” and, of course, he has to sing an Elvis song – “All Shook Up.” He howls, but we call it singing.
I can spell T-R-E-A-T and he understands. He gets up and expects a treat.
He loves to play with balloons and a little yellow ball and a stuffed doggie on a leash.
