Carrie and Greg Stinson of House Springs sent in this photo of their Cairn terrier, Sadie Mae.

Sadie Mae, a 13-year-old Cairn terrier, has many outstanding qualities, but one stands out over the others. She’s very affectionate, said Carrie Stinson.

Carrie and her husband, Greg, live with Sadie Mae in House Springs.

“She is very sweet and loving and is a good snuggler,’’ Carrie said. “When she wants a hug, she comes to Momma. When she wants a treat or protection, she comes to Dad.”

Sadie Mae is an active dog.

“She’s fetched more balls than Ozzie Smith,” Greg said. “She loves other people. Other dogs, she gets along with fine, unless they get near her ball. She won’t put up with that.”

Sadie Mae thinks she’s human and prefers them to fellow canines, Carrie said.

“Greg says she often doesn’t get along with other dogs because she doesn’t know she’s a dog,” Carrie said.
