Pepper Jean, a 2-year-old border collie-black Lab mix, looks out for her dog sibling, said her owners, Cody Terry and Jessica Haws of De Soto.
“She has a big brother, a Chihuahua named Jack,” Terry said. “She’s very motherly about Jack, even though he’s older. She’s always grooming him.”
Pepper Jean also enjoys playing in her back yard, as shown in this May 2019 photo.
“She’ll go outside at any time,” Terry said. “She’ll stay outside all day if you’ll let her.
“That thing behind her (in the photo) is a disc golf goal filled with her toys. I put them in the goal when I cut the grass.”
Terry said Pepper Jean likes to play with her toys.
“She loves to play Frisbee,” he said. “She’s really good at catching her floppy Frisbee.”
