Cora enjoys chasing thrown items and bringing them back, which would not be unusual if she were a dog.
However, she is a 5-year-old cat whose breed is not known, said owner Kimberly Mathis, Festus, who is a page and ad designer for the Leader.
“She’s pretty weird,” Mathis said. “She plays fetch. She likes to play with the rings from milk jugs. I’ll throw them and she’ll bring them back or she’ll just play with the rings.”
Cora has an agreeable demeanor.
“She gets along with other pets,” Mathis said. “She’s playful.”
Cora seeks out the rays of the sun.
“She likes to lay in a spot with a sunbeam shining on her,” she said. “She lies in different spots around the house.”
