This is a 1986 picture of Mickey, a Sheltie (a Shetland sheepdog) who was my now-grown daughter’s companion back in the day. Lindsey is 38 now. She always had a friend to play with and have tea parties with. Mickey sat in the chair at her table in her play kitchen for as long as she wanted. He was always so good-natured and gentle with her.
This cute picture brings back the memory of her special friend. Lindsey is not in this shot, but she was having tea with Mickey at the time. She did this with him almost daily.
Mickey was so good. When he wanted to be petted, he’d nudge you. He was not a barker. He lived to be 14.
He was very loyal and good around kids. He would follow my son and his friends riding bikes down the street.
