Leader staffer Tony Krausz of Arnold said his family’s dog, Lucy, is friendly but not too smart.
Lucy, a Lab-springer spaniel mix, is 8.
“She’s a noodlehead,” Krausz said. “She is a very sweet dog. She’s just not a very bright dog. That makes her more loveable.”
He said Lucy has some odd habits.
“She still tries to eat rocks,” he said. “If you speak to her, she cocks her head to one side and just has a blank look on her face.”
Although Lucy has aged, she remains active and is a good companion for him, his wife, Kirsten, and their young twins, he said.
“If either of our kids leaves a blanket on the floor, she’ll claim it as her own, but she’s good with the kids,” Krausz said.
He said Lucy likes playing with balls.
“Even at 8, she stills acts like a puppy.
