Pat Wright said his family’s dog, Loki, loves to lie on the couch at their home in Fenton.
“That’s his favorite spot in the house,” Wright said. “He can see the front door and the back door from there.”
Loki, a 3-year-old Swiss shepherd, doesn’t spend all his time lounging around, though, Wright said.
“He’s a pretty energetic dog. He likes to play ball. He likes to swim. We have a pool. He’ll go in the pool two or three times a day. He’s my white shadow.”
Loki is smart, Wright added.
“He’s well-behaved and very intelligent,” he said. “He definitely picks things up well.”
Wright said Loki coexists well with the family’s other dog.
“We also have a 14-year-old Westie named Otis,” he said. “They get along well. The old guy tries to stay out of the way as best he can.”
